Jordan Mathas-Carleton is an Associate in our class actions team in our Sydney office. Jordan is currently working on the Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda class actions and is committed to ensuring his clients achieve justice.
"Although my clients come from a diverse range of backgrounds, they are all united by the fact that they have each been the victim of a mass wrong. Whether they have been deceived by a multinational corporation or mistreated by government, they are people who deserve justice. Class actions offer a way for these people to achieve justice and hold those who have wronged them – who are often in a much more powerful position – to account."
Outside of his class action work, Jordan is actively involved in the community legal sector and passionate about public interest environmental and animal law. While studying, he volunteered at a range of environmental organisations. During that time he contributed to important public interest advocacy and litigation, including in relation to the protection of the Great Barrier Reef.
Jordan currently volunteers at The Animal Law Institute, a Melbourne-based community legal centre focusing on the protection of animals, where he assists with strategic advice and litigation.
